I can't post images

 How do I put my pictures in a post?
The icon thingie doesn't work, 'cause it wont upload a photo, it wants a URL
You know in live journal I could just PASTE an image into the post.
You guys gonna fix this, or what?

Hi. You have to upload the image to Dreamwidth separately and then embed it in your post. You can find the image upload tool in the "Create" menu on the Dreamwidth main page (see picture). After you upload your image, Dreamwidth provides a code you can use to embed it. That code will give you a tiny version of the image, but if you edit out "/100x100", then it will be full sized. It's kind of a hassle, but does work.

Looks like you can also set the image dimensions to the size you want rather than just removing them. So you could swap "/100x100" for "/600x600" to have the image display with its greatest measurement no larger than 600 pixels.
